Room Parties are parties, in rooms. Shocker, I know.
These parties are typically hosted by people who are not a part of the convention. Although a second convention might host a room party as a way to advertize their own convention. As these parties are hosted by individuals, most anything might happen. Most room parties have a theme of some sort, and a great many serve alcohol. Most hosts will check IDs before serving alcohol, as it's still illegal to serve to minors.
Room parties tend to run late evening to very early morning, and can get pretty loud. As such, NebKon tries to keep the room parties to one area, to avoid disturbing guests who are trying to sleep. It also makes things easier for Security to keep an eye on things. Most attendees are nice people, but once drunk, best to have someone around, just in case.
